EVAN CALDER

          Evan Calder is a 2D Animation Generalist who’s currently working towards a bachelor's in art at California State University, Northridge. He’s been drawing with pencil on paper for his whole life and has spent the past few years gaining experience with digital drawing tools like Adobe Animate, Photoshop, and Procreate. TV and movies have been Evan’s greatest source of inspiration, with some of his earliest influences being anime like Dragon Ball GT and Akame ga Kill! This has led to him favoring the anime art style in his work, though Evan has since branched out to create characters that emulate American TV shows’ styles. He has also recently been creating fan art for Sonic Frontiers, Spy x Family, and Disney’s The Owl House.

          Evan’s ultimate goal is to create his own animated television or graphic novel series. He was inspired to do so by Steven Universe and its well-developed and engaging storyline. Evan believes that visual mediums like animation are the best way to tell stories that both entertain people and inspire them. He believes that art has a way of reaching people that no other form of communication can.
